Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Home Try-Ons: Part 2
Ahh – the last weekend of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I was actually pretty impressed with lots of the items included in the sale; there were many basics and classic pieces that I stocked up on! I bought a lot to try on a lot, all while knowing that the majority of these items were going back. I just prefer to try on in my home and have a few days to mull it over if I need to. So without further ado, check out the second part of my Home Try-On series for the #NSale! (Don’t forget to check out Part 1).
Note: Items with a '+' in front are items that I have kept. If they don't have one, that means I returned it.
+Chelsea28 Open Back Ruffle Dress (M) – This dress was actually a last-minute on-a-whim buy and it ended up being one of my favorite pieces. Plus, it’s under $60, so I couldn’t argue with that! I sized up in this and I'm glad I did. If there were such thing as Small 1/2 I would've gotten that, but it feels much more comfortable as a Medium than a Small would.
Madewell Medium Leather Transport Tote – I was surprised at how much I actually like this tote. The size is really perfect and the color is pretty versatile. The only problem is that I have way too many blue purses! I think I might trade this out for black (you can never have too much black) even though it’s not on sale.
+Caslon Rounded V-Neck Tee (SP) – This is an item that you need to stock up on right now! I have this tee in a few colors and already want it in more. It’s so soft and you can’t beat the price. It runs long though, so if you have a short torso I definitely recommend getting the petite.
Equipment Jenny Stripe Cashmere Pullover (S) – I immediately fell in love with this sweater when I saw it – stripes AND buttons?? It’s a bit pricey, though, and I wish I would have sized up to a medium for a more oversized look. I think I might try to swap it out if I can, and if not, I’ll wait until it goes on sale late in the season.
Marc Fisher LTD Arrine Over the Knee Boot (7) – I’ve mentioned before how I’ve never been one for OTK boots, but these were just too perfect to pass up. The heel height and the pointed toe mixed with the affordable price and I knew I had to try them. The color really wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, though, so these are going back. I recommend going up a 1/2 size.
+J Crew Reese Pants (4P) – How cute are these pants? I’ve been wanting to venture into the “Not Jeans” category of pants for a while and I think these are the one. I tried both the 4 and the 4 Petite and I like the cropped looked a little bit more. The material is a thick crepe and (bonus!) it’s also lined.
+Equipment Brynn Silk Tee (M) – I have found that Equipment items tend to run narrow in the shoulders, and I have broad shoulders from years of swimming. Because of that, I typically like to size up and I'm glad I did with this tee. It's a great length and the black and white floral feels very classic and modern at the same time.
+Dolce Vita Hendrix Studded Sandal (7) – I bought these shoes in both grey and black because I just couldn’t decide which I love better (and I still can’t decide). They're incredibly comfortable and the studs are a subtle and edgy detail.
+Zella Live-in High Waist Leggings (S) – I actually already have these leggings but love them enough that I had to snatch them up again. I love that their high waisted so that it holds everything in and smooths it out. They’re great to throw on if you have to run quick errands or even just lounging around the house. Or, you know, working out… if you’re into that sort of thing)
+BRUNETTE the Label Fries Before Guys Sweatshirt (S/M) – If you’re looking for a soft sweatshirt, this is the one for you. Plus, who doesn't love fries?? Soft and warm is what I'm all about.
Diane Von Furstenberg Silk Shirtdress (S) – This is a dress that I found to be more flattering on the model than on me. I love love love the two-tone polka dots and the feel and length are perfect, but it felt a little like a long pajama shirt on me. For the price, it's not worth it for me.
