The Best Face Washes

Maggie a la Mode - The Best Face Washes Sephora Ulta Nordstrom Beauty, Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm, Drunk Elephant JuJu Bar, Drunk Elephant Pekee Bar, Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

Sometimes I forget how hard it is to find a good face wash until I try to find one! I have tried so many face washes throughout the years to find what works best for my skin and that makes my skin feel good. I don't want it to just cleanse, but actually help heal and balance my skin. I try to use as few products as possible in my skin routine to cut back on cost, but also to cut back on time - usually when I am ready to go to bed, that means that I am ready to go to sleep. I don't want to spend an additional 30 minutes on skincare, so I have high standards for the face wash I use. The ones highlighted below I rotate between as they each have their own timing and purpose, but all get used regularly in my routine. Have you used any of the face washes below? What are your thoughts? Is your favorite not on my list? Let me know in the comments below!

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap - Clinique is a brand that is loved by all ages, all skin types, and all budgets. It's a brand that your mother introduces you to for your first beauty products, but you continue to use because it just works so well. The facial soap was that for me. It's a classic with killer reviews on all platforms, and has been loved for generations. It's a no brainer! Clinique also offers different varieties of this soap to cater to all skin types - mild, extra mild, and oily. This is the face wash I use most when traveling, because it cleanses and soothes my skin no matter what environment I'm in, whether it be the humidity of Bali or the frostiness of Iceland. Plus, Clinique really has some great travel sets so I have a great toner and lotion to go along with the face wash.

Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm - I wasn't really into the idea of a cleansing balm instead of wash, but wanted to at least try this cult favorite before writing it off. It is also the priciest face wash on this list by far at $65, but I was able to order it during a 20% off sale so it didn't hurt my wallet too bad. After I tried it, I really hated to admit how much I loved using it. If you haven't used a cleansing balm before, you rub some balm between your fingers, massage all over your face, and then wipe off with a dampened muslin cloth. I am really not a morning person and I don't shower in the mornings, so it's awesome to be able to wash my face without getting it wet in the morning! Plus, having the warm muslin cloth sit on my face is a great way to sooth my skin in the morning. I purchased extra muslin cloths to rotate out as well. On top of loving the balm as a balm, I love how clean my skin feels afterwards. It doesn't feel waxy or like it has a residue at all, but just genuinely clean and refreshed.

Drunk Elephant JuJu Bar and Pekee Bar - These soap bars are honestly my favorite face washes of all time. They both lather wonderfully and always leave my face feeling so incredibly fresh and clean without drying out my skin. The Pekee Bar (the white one) is meant to be used in the morning and helps balance and soften your skin, while the JuJu bar is used at night to cleanse and subtly exfoliate. The Pekee Bar is really creamy and I'd almost describe it as milky when lathered - I'd give it the gold award for lathering if there were such a thing for face washes! It feels great on my skin and is a refreshing cleanse in the morning. The JuJu Bar has thermal mud and bamboo powder in it to help deep clean your skin while softly exfoliating. I can really feel it cleanse my skin of excess oil, dirt, and leftover makeup from the day, and helps prep it for my nightly routine. I love the mini travel pack that they come in together, which is the size you see in the photos. It's a great size to try out the product, and it's only $18! Each of the bars lasted me about 12 months of use.

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash - If the Pekee Bar wins the gold award for face wash lather, then this wins the silver. I love the creamy feeling of the face wash and the sweet mint smell it has - it makes my skin feel clean inside and out! I love to keep this in my shower and use with my Foreo LUNA mini 2 to deep clean my skin at the end of the day. I have combination-oily skin and this makes my face feel under-control and clean. Wanna know a cute story about this face wash? It was actually the first thing I ever bought from Sephora! I wanted to upgrade the face wash I was using at the time, and spent hours googling for the best face wash out there. I landed up on this one, and I think the fact that it's also on my list says something about how great it is.
